Beijing & the Wild Great Wall

Five unhurried days in the capital, pairing the Forbidden City and hutong life with a full day walking the unrestored ridges of Jinshanling.

5 daysSprache: EnglishMin. Gruppe: 2Hotels: 4-star boutique

Beijing rewards travelers who slow down. This five-day journey begins with the ceremonial heart of the city — the Forbidden City, Tiananmen and the Temple of Heaven — then slips into the hutongs for breakfast stalls, courtyard doors and everyday life.

The centerpiece is a full day at Jinshanling, where the wall climbs over forested ridges with far fewer visitors than Badaling. We walk a quiet section with a local guide, stop for a picnic and return as the light turns gold.

Evenings are left free: a Peking duck dinner, a tea house, or simply a quiet courtyard hotel. Private guiding and a vehicle throughout keep the pace comfortable for families and first-time visitors.
